Dr.Sudhangshu Kumar Ballav popularly as Dr. S. K.Ballav had been working in different capacities of Assistant Registrar, Registrar, Resident Surgeon, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Vice Principal, Professor HOD of ENT & Head-Neck Surgery and Principal of Government Medical Colleges of Bangladesh. He went on retirement from Government Health Service as Principal of Khulna Medical College, Khulna, Bangladesh as per service rule. Currently he is attached to Khulna City Medical College (Private Medical College) as Professor and HOD of ENT & Head-Neck Surgery Department.

He has a great contribution to develop and expand horizons of Otolaryngology and Head-Neck Surgery in Bangladesh. He has developed his expertise in advanced Micro Ear Surgery, Endoscopic Ear Surgery, Endoscopic Sinus surgery, Endoscopic DCR, Endo Laryngeal Phonosurgery, Septorhinoplasty, Thyroid and Head-Neck Cancer Surgery, Cleft Lip and Palate repair, Coblation Tonsillectomy, Coblation Adenoidectomy ensuring comprehensive care for patients of all ages.

He has attended many National and International Conferences and workshops as Faculty and presented scientific papers. He has more than 20 National and International publications. He is best known for his compassionate commitment to advanced technology and excellence. He has proved himself as good teacher, mentor, and examiner of professional medical exams. He has organized many National and International Conference and workshops.

He is awarded membership of Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow and received lifetime achievement award from Society of Otolaryngologists and Head-Neck Surgeons of Bangladesh. He is a member of ENT, UK, American Academy of Otolaryngology and Head Neck Surgery and many other National and International Societies. He is apeer reviewer and member of editorial board of National and International ENT Journals.
